Makhteshim-Agan, an Israel-based company has commenced its enivronment friendly pesticide unit operations in Andhra
Pradesh on Monday. It will manufacture diverse, environmentally friendly products, including herbicides, insecticides and
fungicides for virtually every conventional crop and non-crop category. It is also setting up a research facility at Pulivendula in
Cuddapah district in Andhra Pradesh. The projects will entail investments of around Rs.4500 million.
Nagarjuna Fertilizer and Chemicals to set up wet blending unit at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. The project involves setting up of wet blending unit for production of customized fertilizer with a capacity of 1.30 Lakh MT/Annum. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 370 million.
Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals to expand its fertilizer unit at Fertilizer nagar in Vadodara in Gujarat. The project also involves setting up of1500MTPA Urea Phosphate plant at its existing premises with an investment of Rs. 25 million.
