Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers plans expansion programme at Thal

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers is planning an expansion programme at its Thal unit in Raigad district of Maharashtra. The company plans to add additional streams of ammonia and urea which will add 12.7 lakh MT per annum of urea capacity at a cost of Rs 41125 million. The contract will be awarded to a developer on LSTK basis. The project has been cleared by pre Public Investment Board. Recently, the company has invested Rs. 4890 million to revamp the Thal plant.

Rama Pulp & Paper to set up fertilizer unit in Wahegaon

Rama Pulp & Paper Ltd is planning to set up a fertilizer unit in Wahegaon village in Paithan Tehsil in Aurangabad in Maharashtra. The project involves setting up of manufacturing facilities to produce LABSA, Single Super Phosphate, diluted Sulphuric Acid 80% with an investment of Rs. 340 million.

Maharashtra government to set up customized fertilizer plant in Ahmednagar

Maharashtra government is planning to set up a customized fertilizer plant in Ahmednagar with an investment of Rs. 500 million. This will be a pilot project and on gauging its success more such projects will be implemented in the state. The government has appointed Maharashtra Agro Industries Development Corp as lead manager to implement the project on public-private partnership basis.

Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corp is setting up Bentonite-Sulphur-Pastilles unit


Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corp is setting up Bentonite-Sulphur-Pastilles unit at Taloja in Raigarh district of Maharashtra with an installed capacity of 50000 tpa. The land required for the project is around 4.7 acres with an investment of Rs. 400 million. Manufacturing process will involve mixing of molten Sulphur and Bentonite clay and will be passed through a special pastillator machine to make pastilles which will be cooled and packed into bags for sale as a fertilizer. .  Insoluble or suspended solids will be separated by decantation and clear liquid will be sent to CETP for further treatment. 90% of which will be recycled back into the process and remaining will be sold as fertilizer to authorized customers.
