Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers plans expansion programme at Thal

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers is planning an expansion programme at its Thal unit in Raigad district of Maharashtra. The company plans to add additional streams of ammonia and urea which will add 12.7 lakh MT per annum of urea capacity at a cost of Rs 41125 million. The contract will be awarded to a developer on LSTK basis. The project has been cleared by pre Public Investment Board. Recently, the company has invested Rs. 4890 million to revamp the Thal plant.
