Paradeep Phospates Ltd to invest Rs 400 crore on capacity expansion

Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) has drawn up a plan to invest Rs 400 crore in the next four years to scale up its production capacity of phosphatic fertilisers from 12 lakh tonnes at present to 20 lakh tonnes by 2013.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers commissions carbon dioxide recovery plant


Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd has commissioned its 450 tpd carbon dioxide recovery plant. The plant was completed ahead of schedule with technology from Mitsubishi and Technimont ICB. This move will help NFCL to recover carbon dioxide from fluegas stack and makes it eligible to gain carbon credits. The plant forms a part of debottlenecking programme and it will help to raise its production level to 2 lakh tonnes a year by September 09.

Reliance signs deals with fertilizer companies for gas supply


Reliance Industries has signed deals with 12 fertilizer companies for supply of 15 million cu.meters of natural gas a day from its KG basin. The supplies are schedule to start from April 2009. The fertilizer companies are Gujarat Narmada Fertilizers, Kribhco, Iffco, Nagarjuna Fertilizers, Tata Chemicals and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers. Govt. has asked to supply gas on priority basis and Reliance has to raise its output to 40 mmscmd of natural gas.

Indian Fertilizer industry will become self-reliant by 2014


Govt. of India is planning to revive its eight closed fertilizer plants by pumping a whopping Rs.32000 crores. Currently, India faces a shortages in fertilizers which is plugged by imports, which costs the govt. a huge subsidy bill. The fertilizer costs is always on the rise. Now, Brahmaputra fertilizer plant will start producing nutrients though it will book loss. The cabinet also approved a proposal to revive HFCL Barauni plant by Kribhco and Rashtriya Chemical Fertilizers
